STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative word of God. The Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way to receive salvation, and God’s plan and purpose in the past, present, and in eternity.

2. We believe that salvation is a free gift from God offered to man by grace and must be received through faith apart from any works.

3. We believe in the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.

4. We believe that salvation is by grace, and that the conditions to salvation are repentance and faith. We believe that people are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God through Jesus Christ.

5. We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ, in the eternal damnation of the wicked, and in everlasting life with the Living God for the righteous.

6. We believe that children are the gift of God to parents, whose duty it is to insure that they receive a quality Christian education.

7. We believe that there are two ordinances of the local church-Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

HISTORY OF OBC

Oval Bible College was founded by Dr. Timmy Tezeno in June of 2000, to provide an affordable quality Biblical education for men and women who desire to further their understanding in God’s Word.

The name Oval was chosen by Dr. Tezeno in honor of his father, the late Bishop Oval Tezeno, Jr. who passed on December 30th, 1996. Bishop Tezeno was an extraordinary man. He was a prolific bible teacher, a nurturing pastor of thirty years, a loving husband, and a wonderful father of five. He impacted the lives of many. He is gone but never forgotten. His legacy lives on.

Dr. Timmy Tezeno is a prolific bible teacher, preacher, author, mentor, entrepreneur, and educator. He holds several degrees: Bachelor of Theology, Master of Pastoral Counseling, Doctor of Theology, Doctor of Pastoral Counseling. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, and a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University.

Dr. Tezeno is the author of several books including Love for the Family and the Bible Trainer Series (Romans thru Jude). He is the loving husband of his beautiful wife, Angela, and the father of their three children. He has conducted Love for the Family seminars, providing extraordinary biblical principles to obtaining and maintaining a successful marriage and family. Dr. Tezeno teaches a powerful course entitled 12 Principles to finding the Right Mate.” This course is a must for all singles that enroll in the college.

Dr. Tezeno burning desire was to provide a quality biblical education everyone could afford. In June of 2000, Oval Bible College was established. Today, pastors, evangelists, bible teachers, prophets, missionaries, deacons, Sunday school teachers and others who desire a greater knowledge and a deeper understanding of God’s word have enrolled and are continuing to enroll in Oval Bible College. OBC is present in all 50 states and 24 foreign countries.

Oval Bible College, LLC is an independent religious institution that provides theological education online (e-Courses via email). We do not offer any on-campus classes. Oval Bible College, LLC only offers certificate/degrees for the completion of religious education.

All our courses are biblically based. We do not offer any secular courses. Oval Bible College, LLC is accredited by the National Bible College Association. Oval Bible College, LLC is exempt from licensure provisions of R.S. 17:1808 because we only offer religious degrees. The State of Louisiana gives us the authority to grant degrees.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

1. How are the studies done at OBC?
The studies at OBC are presented online (PDF courses sent via email), along with a test for each course to be completed and mailed back to the school for grading. The grade of each test is given to the student via email. If the student doesn’t have an email address, the graded tests will be mailed back to the student.

2. How many courses does a student receive at a time?
The student receives all the courses at one time per program of study.

3. Are there any limitations on the time allowed to complete a course?
No, students have the freedom to work at their own individual pace.

4. Can a person join the school year-round?
The answer is yes.

5. Is everyone welcome at OBC?
Admission to OBC is open to all. In all programs or operations of the Institute, there is no distinction made between persons based on race, creed, color, sex, age, disability, religion, or national origin.

6. Does Oval Bible College accepts credit transfer?
Credit earned at other schools will be accepted toward fulfilling degree requirements. Copies of degree(s) and transcript(s) are required for evaluation purposes.

7. Does Oval Bible College offer credits for ministry experience?
Yes, but only at the bachelor’s degree level. If the prospective student has 10 or more years in the ministry without any prior training from a Bible institution, will be credited 60 credit hours, and will start at the bachelor’s degree level, needing only 60 credit hours to complete the bachelor’s degree program.

8. Will other schools accept credits from Oval Bible College?
Transfer of credit between Bible Colleges and Universities is determined by the receiving institution, regardless of other factors. However, every school that are accredited by the National Bible College Association will accept our credits.
